One Year Down... Forever To Go!


Today marks one year since the launch of Melanin Aura and The Wanderlust Blog. I am grateful for everyone who has contributed to my project, even in the most subtle way. Without your push, I would have still been repressed in my comfortable cocoon.

I have always been hesitant about sharing the bits and pieces of my little world and exhibiting any form of transparency. Once I launched the site, I received a great deal of positive feedback regarding my openness and relatable experiences.

Afterwards, one of my best friends texted me saying: “𝑫𝒊𝒅𝒏’𝒕 𝑰 𝒔𝒂𝒚 𝒊𝒇 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒋𝒖𝒔𝒕 𝒑𝒖𝒕 𝒊𝒕 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒓𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆. 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒂𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒔𝒏’𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒍𝒅. 𝒀𝑶𝑼𝑹 𝒂𝒖𝒅𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒀𝑶𝑼, 𝒑𝒆𝒐𝒑𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍 𝒉𝒐𝒘 𝒀𝑶𝑼 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒍...” So this is a message to anyone who needs to hear it: Speak it into the universe, manifest, start somewhere, and keep it going.
