The purpose of The Wanderlust Blog is to encourage others how to make traveling possible. Adventure and Travel is not an unattainable Instagram Dream. With sensible planning, and proper budgeting, you can create your own travel opportunities.
Honestly, I used to travel frivolously. I was so accustomed to my parents covering the cost. As I began to venture out on my own, I learned how to budget and prioritize my traveling expenses.
I always try to travel minimal, but end up packing excess items. Amongst the unnecessary things, I have two absolute favorite that I can not survive without: SHOES AND PHONE are must haves.
Shoes are definitely my weakness because I like to switch up my style. I operate mainly everything on my phone so it’s a necessity. My routine checks are emails, bank accounts, websites, stocks, instagram, and text messages.
If you’re a scenery person, a camera is always great to capture all of the dope views. I don't always carry a professional camera. Sometimes it's just my camera phone, especially since the quality of iPhone is consistently improving.
A small crossbody bag is always key. Never carry a big bag that will hold you down. You’ll need to walk and maneuver as swiftly as possible. Keep your money and cards tucked away and a copy of your ID or passport. Leave your original locked or stored in your hotel. You would want to avoid having your identity stolen by those who pick pockets.
Pack light, buy the travel sized utilities in Target or Walmart. They’re sufficient for a short getaway. Everything else is just winging it. Be a free spirit! Go on an adventure.
