“Italy is a dream that keeps returning for the rest of your life.”

Most countries that I have visited are a onetime deal where I've
enjoyed the experience, but do not have the desire to return.
however, for me ITALY is TIMELESS...
"Many of us have been to Italy, but seldom get tired of it. Even for people who have lived there their whole life, Italy remains a place they fall in love with over and over again."
If I was ever asked my favorite city, it would have to be Amalfi. The beautiful coast of Amalfi is breathtaking and I even sipped water from a fountain for good luck/prosperity. While in Amalfi, we visited the ruins of Pompeii in which I learned a great deal of history about that particular town. We also learned that there is an active volcano that is bound to erupt at any day now. However, the people of Amalfi and Pompeii do not live in fear of the unexpected.
My second favorite is Sicily where there is a ton of deep rooted history. I was able to see the cathedral from The Godfather where Michael Corleone was married to his Italian bride. Pisa was nothing short of great to witness the Leaning Tower. We walked the entire Venice strip in search for Libreria Acqua Alta but it was well worth the foot pain.
My least favorite is Rome, which shocks everyone when I say that. I've visited twice and Rome reminds me of a 3X larger New York City in which I have a love/loathe relationship with. The country-side is very green and scenic with peaceful vibes as opposed to the tourist city area. The Coliseum was ruined with graffiti and a large quantity of beggars approaching you very viciously demanding to purchase unwanted gadgets. The Trevi is overcrowded and impossible to snap a decent picture. Rome reminded me of a scene from Thriller at night time. I was sooo ready to go back to the hotel and pack my suitcase. My only regret is not visiting the Pantheon while there. Especially after watching The Medici on Netflix. I've promised myself that my next Italy trip will include the Pantheon and then I would venture on to other cities such as Milan and Tuscany.
