Cuba

"I done turned Havana into Atlanta" - Jay-Z

"I'm like Che Guevara with bling on, I'm complex!"

We traveled to Cuba during the time "Yall's 45" implemented a ban on American's journeying to the country. We used the "People to People" visa in order to fly there roundtrip for $125... a steal! Despite claims of the Cuban people being hateful towards Americans, I felt no ounce of hatred. It was the most humbling experience seeing the people appreciate their country and being grateful for what they have in the now. It is very true that "less is more".

While in Havana, of course you have to take a ride in an Old School whip utilized as a taxi. We were greeted by our driver and headed straight to the fun! As we headed to Santa Maria Del Mar Beach, we were stopped by a local law enforcement officer. He let us go in exchange for a picture with one of my friends. Weirddd!

Our AirBNB was located directly in the center overlooking

Malecon with the most perfect view of the city. The hospitality

was amazing as we woke up each morning to a home-cooked

breakfast for only $5. It consisted of the most fresh and

succulent fruit ever! Other meals, I stuck to seafood because I

do not trust meats in other places. Ironically judgmental, I know but everything that I consumed was tasteful.

The people were happily celebrating the July 26th Revolution so there was entertainment EVERYWHERE! Havana really partied until the sun up. The city did not sleep, but my tired friends did.

Miami girls really aren't afraid of

anything. We were warned not to

ride in random taxi's and still did

not take heed. We ended up being bamboozled by a fat guy who gave us old Cuban currency in exchange for American cash Lol... the old currency is worth nothing in the new town. We actually laughed about this karmic encounter. I still have the $50 peso ready for exchange in the airport when I return for a new adventure.
